Career in Medicine? Medical Taster Day

TasteMedicine - we are a team of junior doctors who have recently graduated from Imperial College London, running medicine-themed summer schools for secondary school students. We only have a handful of places remaining on each course.

A Bit About Us...

All of us at TasteMedicine are extremely passionate about the field of medicine. Our goal is to transmit this passion to the next generation, whilst also showing students what medicine as a career entails and what it's like to be at medical school. We currently run two different, themed single-day courses - 'Future Physicians' and 'Budding Surgeons'. Both courses are targeted at secondary school students of all ages, and both courses introduce basic medical concepts whilst also giving students the opportunity to try their hand at practical skills such as suturing. Our tutors are experienced in teaching younger students and will cover these topics in a fun and interactive manner - we promise to send everyone home having had a real taste of what medical school is like, having acquired a heap of new knowledge, and above all having enjoyed themselves immensely (we make sure it doesn't feel like school!). 

Details:

All of our courses run at the Imperial College campus in South Kensington, London (next to the National History Museum). Our dates for this upcoming summer are Saturday 30th July and Saturday 27th August for 'Future Physicians', and Sunday 31st July and Sunday 28th August for 'Budding Surgeons'. Students can choose whether to attend one course (priced at £79) or both courses (priced at £145 for both courses) - we have strived to make this pricing as affordable as possible and accessible to all, especially in light of the fact that other companies continue to charge extortionate prices for university 'taster days'.
