The speakers will delve into plagues of the past and present, and will consider future threats to all populations that inhabit the earth.

In-depth preparation for interviews - ACCA podcasts

Please click on the links below if you would like to hear podcasts that might help you to prepare for interviews by developing your commercial awareness.  All of the podcasts have been put together by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants - ACCA - , but the points they make in the introduction podcast are relevant to anyone who wants to prepare for an interview in a thorough manner.  They explain through case studies, how you can use available information to develop a strong awareness of the company you are interested in, and how that might help in an interview.

For those with an interest in accountancy and finance occupations, the podcasts that follow the introduction are excellent in teaching you how to prepare for interviews in that sector by developing your insight into particular Accountancy companies.

Careers Tips from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants - ACCA

Boost your chances of getting work experience and a job by taking advice from ACCA.By starting early, you demonstrate that you are committed to your future, have the drive to work hard and succeed.
You should involve yourself in as many extra-circular activities as you can as this will help you get used to building a network of like-minded people around you and boost your confidence.
Building up your skills at school or college is a great start especially since accounting and finance is one of the leading career choices for students, making competition for jobs tough.
Work out the skills you are gaining on a regular basis and start adding them to your CV. Ask yourself regularly, how are the skills I am learning going to help me when I start my career? This will help you to work out how you can stand out to employers
