Civil Service Apprenticeship Opportunities

Civil Service Apprenticeship:
the career opportunity of a lifetime

If you'd like to work at the heart of Government in a role where you can really make a difference with a starting salary of at least £20,369 the Fast Track Apprenticeship Scheme may be for you

Roles are on offer across a variety of departments including Cabinet Office, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defence HM Revenue and Customs, Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs, Department for Culture Media & Sport, Department for Education, Department for Work and Pensions, Crown Prosecution Service and Department for Business Innovation and Skills.

With real responsibility from day one, you'll take on a demanding role and, at the same time, work towards a Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Business and Professional Administration or Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Accountancy.

In the North of England (North East and North West) there is also the opportunity to specialise in IT and complete a Level 4 Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professional.

The scheme is a springboard for progression into senior positions and a foundation for a rewarding career in this fascinating, progressive and diverse organisation.

We're looking for school leavers aged 18 to 21 who have the motivation to study hard while holding down a full-time day job. Above all, you need the potential to be a future leader.

We only have a set number of places up for grabs and we expect there will be a lot of interest, so if you want to apply, don't delay... this could be the career opportunity of a lifetime.

Are you interested in Publishing as a Career?

You may not be aware that publishing is a career that can attract students from all backgrounds as young people with specialist knowledge of many different fields are required.

The workshop will run in the afternoon, 1pm until 3.15pm, at the University Press.  You will have the chance to meet staff who work in this fascinating area and take part in interactive workshops, prepare and present a marketing plan.

If you are interested, please collect a letter from C29 (near Reception) or see Zahra Amlani in the staff office on the ground floor of D block.
