·        An interest in shaping the future Built Environment
·        Confidence in handling facts and figures
·        Confidence to meet new people and create new relationships

You'll get involved with everything, from meeting Clients, working alongside Architects, Engineers and Contractors.  The list of responsibilities is varied so this will be a great opportunity for the right person to become a key team member supporting our Building Surveyors.

We want someone who is organised, takes pride in their work and has excellent attention to detail.  We want you to be able to build relationships with others, so if you have some casual work experience behind you, that will help.  You must hold GCSEs, Grades A-C or 5+, in Math’s, English and Science and a mixture of A’ Levels in Geography, Math’s, Science or Design related subjects preferably.

We will pay you competitively and give you some great benefits. You’ll get 25 days holiday, health insurance, up to 8% contributory pension (even this is far from your mind at the moment!) a generous discretionary bonus and discretionary clothing allowance.  You’ll be given a Surface to work from and will have the chance to work in a modern, agile working environment.  Better still, you'll be treated fairly and be part of the team from day one.

You'll be expected to study one day a week; we are flexible how you manage this and as most courses are online and are affiliated to a university who set your modules, you can study at home or at work.  Whatever works best for you.  We will support you along the way with a mentor and a supervisor and a structured apprenticeship study programme so that you can start working towards your professional qualification in September.

The Bidwells’ Cambridge office is a fun and vibrant place to work.  It is our Head Office and has an amazing energy to it.  We work on some fantastic projects and take real pride in what we do, and how we do it!  There is a strong social side to the office with lots of sporting activities and external events, so there is plenty to get involved with.

If Bidwells sounds like the place for you, please forward your cv to Suzanne.dutton@bidwells.co.uk with a covering letter stating why you’re interested in a career in building surveying
