Etheldreda Medals

Ely Cathedral have asked us to spread the word about the Ethelreda Medals, an opportunity for young people to get recognised for generous and outstanding service to the community in Ely Diocese – Cambridgeshire and West Norfolk – and be recognised in medals awarded by the Bishop of Ely, the Rt Revd Stephen Conway. Nominations for this year's Etheldreda Medal, which celebrates the 7th century foundress of the cathedral and abbess of Ely, close on 23 June and the awards will be presented publicly at a special service at Ely Cathedral on 16 October 2016. The awards are designed to celebrate people who give generously of their time and talents and may not otherwise be recognised.
