Free online course to develop understanding of the role that money plays in business success


ICAEW is working with the Leeds University Business School to bring you a free online course to help your students develop their understanding of the role that money plays in business success. The course gives learners the opportunity to explore the exciting world of business, and gain the skills that are required by employers for a successful career.

Delivered through video tutorials, animations, interviews, articles and on-line discussions with other learners around the world, this four week course explores:
• what makes a business successful
• growing a business
• running a business
• communicating business success.

In addition to tutorials from the lead educators Professor Peter Moizer and Alice Shepherd, learners will gain insight into leading global brands including; Adidas, PwC, FitFlop, Cobra Beer, Ryecroft Glenton, ICAEW, Save the Children, Wow Company, Tea Huggers, Tesco, M&S and NHS.

At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
• Appreciate the impact of the cash flow on a business.
• Understand strategies for growing a business.
• Demonstrate your commercial awareness to employers.
• Build your skills and experience for your CV.
• Recognise the skills needed for a successful career.

Requirements
This course is open to everyone; all that is needed is an interest in the role of money in business success. Students can study at their own pace and in their own time so it won’t interfere with their School/College/University studies.
