We have an immediate need for an accounts apprentice to join
our Fund Management accounts team, and I wondered if you could let any of your
A’ Level students know that we are on
the lookout. They don’t have to have taken Maths, but an interest in figures would
certainly be appealing. Business,
Economics or Science would also cover this side.
You'll get involved with everything, from reconciling
suppliers’ statements and paying suppliers to setting up ledgers, dealing with
payroll for clients and completing and reconciling VAT returns. The list of responsibilities is varied so
this will be a great opportunity for the right person to become immersed in the
running of an accounts team.
We want someone who is organised, takes pride in their work
and has excellent attention to detail.
You must hold Grade A-C (or equivalent) Maths and English GCSE and an
A/AS Level in Maths or Accounting would be desirable, but certainly not
essential. It is far better that your
enthusiasm for working with figures is there, and that you have the right
attitude to learning, and being part of a team.
You'll get the chance to grow with us. In-fact we really
want you to progress and will do all we can to help. We will organise an apprenticeship study
programme at First Intuition so that you can start working towards gaining your
AAT qualification.
At times, you may be working under pressure, but you will be
someone who strives in this environment and enjoys working to tight deadlines.
You must be capable of managing your own diary and workload.
In return you will receive some excellent benefits including
private medical cover, free onsite parking, 25 days holiday (and we are shut
over Christmas so this is a big benefit!), up to 8% contributory pension and
discounts from major retailers, However, what we feel is our biggest benefit is
the fact that we work in an agile and flexible, modern environment.
