Education, Sociology and Psychology Taster
Thursday 16 - Friday 17 April 2020

Taught by staff from the University of Warwick’s departments of Education, Psychology and Sociology, our taster course is two days long and packed with teaching activities designed to give you a real taste of studying these exciting and complementary disciplines at undergraduate level.

In the Education Studies taster you will critically discuss the concepts of fairness and social justice in education, develop an understanding of contemporary educational debates and consider the role of education in individual’s lives, in shaping society, and in affecting change.

In the two Sociology sessions you will explore issues including how Sociology is often concerned with the main markers of social difference in modern society – class, gender, ‘race’/ethnicity, age, sexuality and (dis)ability – and how these intersect in shaping the life chances and experiences of individuals.

Bursaries

There are also a number of bursaries available for free places for students from a widening participation background. Students can apply for a bursary at the time of applying, and there are also discounts available.
