Why attend a Nursing Apprenticeship Careers Carousel Session?
If you're interested in nursing but are a little overwhelmed as to what the next steps to take are, why not come along to our Careers Carousel to find out more? We are recruiting for nursing apprentices currently and have trainee nursing associate opportunities coming up in the near future. We currently have 153 nursing apprentices with a further 60 commencing in January 2020.
We will be showcasing our nursing apprenticeships, therefore offering you the opportunity to achieve your career goals and aspirations. Join us and meet our clinical apprenticeship and education teams, alongside both our Further and Higher Education Institute partners to find out how to begin or develop your career in health. We have a nursing pathway for everyone, whether you already have experience in healthcare, are just starting out, or require the access qualifications.
Clinical Apprenticeships provide candidates with:
- a route to a career as a Registered Professional with all tuition fees paid by the Trust
- the opportunity to gain a BSc (Hons) Degree (upon successful completion of studies)
- access to higher education while gaining valuable experience in the workplace
- the ability to earn while you learn, earning a minimum rate salary of £17,906 per annum (pro rata from 1st April 2020) plus unsocial hours allowance where applicable (for night shifts, weekend working, public holidays) plus paid leave to attend university and up to £27K tuition fees paid by CUH
- a career pathway that could see you working in one of the most vibrant, innovative and exciting NHS Trusts in the country.

You will have the opportunity to hear about the differing Apprenticeships available at CUH, from both the employer and education provider's perspectives. Find out what it's like to work for CUH, take part in practical simulations, talk with CUH clinical staff and current apprentices to find out more about a day in the life of a nursing apprentice/nursing associate. The education providers will explain course structure, curriculum information and study support, alongside the Nursing Apprenticeship Team giving application advice and information on how to apply.
