Find an Apprenticeship now

With the exam results period fast approaching many young people will be considering their next steps - whether to study further or to start work immediately.  Apprenticeships are an excellent way to earn and learn at some of the UK’s top companies.

It is also an ideal time for young people to register on the new Find an apprenticeship vacancy site, there are up to 25,000 vacancies in more than 170 industries, covering over 1,500 job roles across England (see the framework factsheet for a list of the types of apprenticeships available).

The How to write a winning apprenticeship application guide has been updated and is available on the website for download. It provides step by step guidance on how to register on the vacancy site.  It also gives hints and tips on tailoring an apprenticeship application to make sure it stands out from the crowd.

With the growth of higher and degree apprenticeships young people now have a real alternative to traditional university study. There are 75 higher and degree apprenticeships available including foundation degree HNDs and full honours degrees.  They cover more than 100 different job roles ranging from legal services to banking, engineering to public relations, with many more in development.
