Marshall Traineeships in Engineering


Marshall Traineeships (click for more information) : For students who feel they would like to consider vocation education and training in engineering.  

Cambridge Regional College have teamed up with Marshall Aerospace and Defense Group to deliver a 12-week Traineeship programme that focuses on providing candidates with essential skills, valuable work experience in the engineering sector and an opportunity to progress onto an Apprenticeship with Marshall on completion.

What will you learn?
First three weeks involves classroom-based learning at Cambridge Regional College which includes English, Math’s, First Aid, Health & Safety, Heart Start and employability training.

The remaining weeks are spent at the Marshall Aerospace and Defense Group site, near Cambridge Airport, and will include hand skills and classroom-based learning to culminate in the industry-recognised EASA/CAA qualification. You will also spend a number of weeks on work experience in an Engineering field of your choice.

How many places are there?
There are 20 places available on this Traineeship programme.

When does it start?
18 May 2015

How long does it take?
12 weeks

Who is eligible?
You must be 19-24 years old; ready to move into an Apprenticeship or employment on completion of the Traineeship; want to work in the Engineering sector.

Are there any fees?
No

Do I get paid on the work experience?
No but Marshall will provide you with a bus pass during your time with them and you will be able to use the College buses when at CRC.
