Intelligence Analyst Trainee

£18,495 - Central Manchester
|
At GCHQ, we work closely with other
intelligence agencies to keep the nation safe. We work against unique,
complex threats – everything from cyber-attacks and espionage, to terrorism
and organised crime. It means your work will be incredibly interesting, and
unlike anything you’ll find anywhere else.
|
As an Intelligence Analyst Trainee, you’ll
spend 18 months learning from a tailored development plan and supporting
operational teams. Taking advantage of both classroom training and exciting
real-world work, you’ll quickly improve your analyst skills. After completing
the programme, you’ll process a large range of data – effectively defining,
analysing and interpreting it. With this, you’ll produce insightful and
impactful reports for our organisation.
|
To join us as a trainee, you don’t need to
have a background in analysis, or intelligence. You just need to be curious
about the impact of tech and keen to keep up with an ever-evolving world. A
natural problem-solver, you’ll continually develop your skills and thrive in
our fast-paced environment. We’ll need you to be at least 18 years old, with
5 GCSEs at grade C or above, (including English & Maths). You’ll also
have 2 A levels at grade C or above, or the equivalent. Alternatively, you’ll
have several years work experience which demonstrates your IT proficiency.
|
While this isn’t a graduate level position,
it’s a chance to learn from experts and gain a career as an Intelligence
Analyst. You’ll be surrounded by people who want to help, and you’ll even
have a dedicated mentor to support you along the way. Everything is set up to
benefit you. You can even work part-time, although you will need to commit to
at least 30 hours a week. After successfully completing the programme, you’ll
move into an analyst role in an area of GCHQ.
