  2. Record your skills
You've spent the last few years participating in activities that would look great on a UCAS form or a CV, but you've forgotten what they are. Don't let this happen again. Register here or login and record them in the Skills section of your profile. You can download a worked example here.

  3. Volunteer
If you have some time on your hands then Christmas is a great time to volunteer. Crisis, a homeless charity, are always looking for volunteers to help out at this time of year. Not only is it good for society, it will also build some skills and experience for your CV or application form.

  4. Construct a CV
You've recorded your skills, volunteered and even done some work experience. Now's the time to bring it all together in a CV. If you need help getting started then read our article on writing your first CV.

  5. Manage your social media profile
According to Monster, 77 per cent of employers google applicants. So will your social media profile prevent you from getting that dream job? Follow our dos and don'ts to clean up your social media profile this Christmas.
You only need to spend 30 minutes a day working on these points and you'll be in tip top shape in the Spring term.
