ICAEW - new Accountancy website

We have been busy working on our website. That’s right! We have a brand new site which is designed to give you all the information, advice and tips you need about becoming a chartered accountant.

So, whether you’ve decided not to go to university or, if you’re still weighing up your options, we can tell you everything you need to know about the ACA qualification and where it can take you. What’s more, our dedicated school leaver area tells you about all the different ways you can become an ACA chartered accountant.

We have advice from ACA students, qualified members as well as video FAQ’s to answer any of your questions. And, once you’re ready to take your first step to the ACA, Training Vacancies is there to help. You can submit your CV online, build a profile and search through our database to find your perfect employer.

However, if you want to get an insight into the career first, why not enter yourself and five friends as a team for BASE - our national business game competition. BASE stands for Business, Accounting and Skills Education and is specifically designed to develop your employability skills as well as giving you a chance to meet potential employers. Regional heats are being held across the UK from November 2010 to April 2011, with winners from each heat qualifying for a place in the national final in June 2011.

So, no matter what stage of career planning you are at, go to icaew.com to find everything you need to know about becoming an ACA chartered accountant!
