Student Finance Deadline Approaching

Hi all,

The Student Finance deadline for new university students in England is the 25th May 2020. Applying by this deadline guarantees students will receive their payment in-time for starting University so we would urge students to start the process now, if they haven't already.

This week, we have created an informative guide and presentation which includes the key points about applying, how much they could receive and when or how they will make repayments in the future.

Thank you!

HE visitors to college next week, 2nd October, 2013

Please note that there are two visitors coming the college next Wednesday.  Anglia Ruskin University are bringing their double decker tour bus and will be located between G and D  blocks all morning.  Advisers and recent graduates will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about going to university, from how to find accommodation, to when is the best time to apply, through to What is it really like at university, and how to make the best of a personal statement, etc.  Meanwhile, in the Student Centre on the same day, Student Finance England will be on hand to answer any questions you might have regarding financial matters.  This is a great opportunity to ask all the little questions, and sometimes the big ones too (!), that might mean the difference between a future university education, or not.  Do take the time to go and speak to them.

Student Finance England

On Wednesday this week, the 7th November, we will be having a representative from Student Finance England come to give a presentation in Room D3 between 12:25 and 1:50 on the increase in tuition costs from September 2012, the financial support available for students and the repayment structure. This will provide students with the information required to make key decisions about their future.  There is limited room for the presentation, so we advise your students to turn up in good time to get a seat.  If students aren’t able to attend, there are representatives to answer their questions via email and telephone.  Details on how to contact a member of their team are below.
