Tesco Opportunities for College leavers...
Think you know Tesco?
Think again...
University isn't the
only option, and we know that. If you want to start your career straight out of
school, we're a great choice. We run programmes and apprenticeships in Stores,
Commercial, Technology, and even in F&F, which is in partnership with the
Fashion Retail Academy. If you think you know Tesco... think again.
This programme could see you getting onto the retail management career ladder less than 12 months after leaving school.
With plenty of support from your store managers, as well as excellent on-the-job training and external learning, you'll soon start to have the basic technical and leadership skills to work as a line manager in one of our stores.
It's a lot to take on in a short space of time. And although you have a strong team around you, you have to motivate yourself every day. And advice and guidance is always on hand from your line manager, who'll be your programme mentor.
Distribution Trainee Management
You get hands-on distribution centre experience and constant guidance from people who already know the ropes. In no time you should be getting to grips with the basics of running a centre, such as leading teams, managing stock, setting and maintaining best-in-class standards and be involved with the full 24-hour operation. You will need to display your energy in motivating others and meeting targets.
Level 4 Technology Apprenticeship
Tesco Technology have partnered with Hertford Regional College to deliver a programme that gives you the chance to challenge yourself every day, building your technical knowledge and experience.
In your first year you will complete four short placements across our Technology teams. Whilst in your second year you will complete a 12 month placement focused on your development. But this isn't just about learning on the job. Over the two years, you'll also be sponsored to achieve a Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Technology with Hertford Regional College.
Successful apprentices will support and build the IT systems and technologies that underpin every aspect of the business. You will work on projects that are part of every customer’s shopping trip. You can also expect to support innovative systems that lead the way in retail technology.
Level 4 F&F Apprenticeship
A two-year programme that’s a partnership between F&F and the Fashion Retail Academy. There are two 12-month placements, one in Buying and the other in Merchandising. One day a fortnight you attend the Fashion Retail Academy, just off London’s Tottenham Court Road, to study for a Level 4 Diploma in Buying or Merchandising.
Commercial Development Programme
Your two-year programme gives you the support network, environment and training you need to get stuck in from day one. Our on the job learning should help you become a star Buyer or Merchandiser in one of our General Merchandise or Food teams.
We also have a brand new website that has already attracted thousands of applications. Our most ever, actually. So… what are you waiting for? www.tesco-earlycareers.com
