Year 12 - 'Making the Most of a Virtual Open Day'


In response to Covid-19, we at the University of Lincoln, want to help you make the most of Virtual Open Days. Join Cici on Thursday at 1pm for helpful hints and tips on gaining what you need from these online events.

This Week: 
Our 'Lincoln Live' guest talks continue Wednesday at 2pm, we will hear from Dr Craig Marsh, Pro Vice Chancellor and Director of the Lincoln International Business School.
Craig's online talk 'Do Followers Make a Leader?' will consider the rise of social media influencers and delve into what makes a good follower and therefore, leader. It will invite you to contribute your own ideas and questions throughout.
Post your questions in the comments section of the live stream or send them in advance to the Virtual Classroom. Follow the link to join the talk on Facebook or watch here.
Coming Up:
Join us Wednesday 24 June when we will hear from University of Lincoln Alumnus and TikTok employee, Natalie Brown giving a talk on 'What it’s Really Like to Work in the Media Industry'.
You will be able to post your questions to Natalie in the comments section of the live feed.

Andrew will share insight into his broadcasting career, in particular, when he joined the BBC Radio's Music Library, and will track the ever-evolving landscape of radio and demonstrate how this medium is poised for a powerful future, post-Covid-19.

Clara's live talk 'My Life in the Media: From University Graduate to Broadcaster’ will give insight into her experience of what it was like to go to university, career highlights, and will finish with a question and answer session.
Everyone can post their questions to Clara in the comments section of the live stream via our Virtual Classroom Facebook page.
Coming Up - Sport & Exercise Psychology:
Our guest talks continue Wednesday 27 May when we will hear from Dr Patricia Jackman.
Patricia’s online talk ‘Optimising Experiences in Sport and Exercise' will explore the psychology behind peak performance and optimal experiences in physical activity. 
Patricia will be able to answer any questions you have about her talk, research, or the University of Lincoln. Post your questions to Patricia in the comments section of the live stream during the talk or send them in advance to the Virtual Classroom Facebook page.

Coming Up - Award-winning broadcaster: Clara Amfo
Our guest talks continue on Wednesday 20 May when we will hear from Clara Amfo.
Clara will share her experience of what it was like to go to university, her career insights as a broadcaster, and will finish with a question and answer session.
