Careers Tips from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants - ACCA

Boost your chances of getting work experience and a job by taking advice from ACCA.By starting early, you demonstrate that you are committed to your future, have the drive to work hard and succeed.
You should involve yourself in as many extra-circular activities as you can as this will help you get used to building a network of like-minded people around you and boost your confidence.
Building up your skills at school or college is a great start especially since accounting and finance is one of the leading career choices for students, making competition for jobs tough.
Work out the skills you are gaining on a regular basis and start adding them to your CV. Ask yourself regularly, how are the skills I am learning going to help me when I start my career? This will help you to work out how you can stand out to employers

Enthusiastic volunteers needed to help exisiting leaders of local Beaver, Cub and Scout Sections.
This is an ideal opportunity for those working towards their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme or thinking of career in education or working with young people.
Our Meetings are held a the Scout HQ on Flamsteed Road, off Cherry Hinton Road and run from 5pm to 9.30 on Tuesdays Term time only.
