KPMG Finance Apprenticeships Available

KPMG & National Apprenticeship Week

At KPMG, we're a proud supporter of National Apprenticeship Week, which brings employers, teachers, parents and apprentices together to celebrate the success of Apprenticeships. We're getting in touch to share information and opportunities about our Apprenticeship Programmes at KPMG, for your talented students leaving education soon.

Why do we want Apprentices to join our business?

They're our future. People are at the heart of our success, so we'll make sure your students are empowered to be at their best. We'll help them reach their potential, through a breadth of training and development, support networks and career opportunities.

This is their chance to not only grow skills and confidence, but build an exceptional future with one of the world's leading professional services firms. We have the programmes and ongoing career development plans in place for them to really thrive.

A teacher's perspective

Louise, a teacher at a Sixth Form academy was surprised by, "How accessible the programmes are for our students. The various Apprenticeships Programmes raised my students' aspirations and ambitions, but at the same time helped them understand that it's all about hard work and dedication."

Meet Nabil, a KPMG360º Digital apprentice

Nabil joined our KPMG360º Digital Apprenticeship Programme after completing his A-levels at college. "Your hard work gets recognised, whether it's at the Encore awards - our internal recognition scheme - or during a team meeting. It encourages you to keep performing well."

Which areas can your students work in as a KPMG Apprentice?

KPMG360º Digital is a new four-year apprenticeship programme that combines academic study with practical work experience. At the same time, your students will also study for a BSc degree in Digital and Technology Solutions with our training provider, BPP University. Based in our Tech hub in Manchester, the scheme will allow them to embark on a number of placements within teams across KPMG including technology solutions, cyber security and forensic services. They will also be offered the opportunity to master new technologies such as cloud, data analytics and artificial intelligence alongside our experts who will support you in your career progression.

KPMG360º Business Services is a two year Apprenticeship Programme which will give your students an overview of Business Services and how Business Services support the wider organisation, whilst working towards the Level Three Business Administration Apprenticeship - a recognised qualification.

Apprentices joining our London and Watford offices will undertake structured rotations around Business Services teams. This varied experience provides a unique and exciting chance to learn about the breadth of support KBS provides to our Firm.

Apprentices joining our Manchester, Leeds, Bristol or Birmingham offices will be based within our Business Support Group, gaining exposure to our Business Service teams through varied projects and work shadowing opportunities.

Any ambitious students who may be interested in an Apprenticeship Programme with KPMG can find out more via our careers website.

Apprenticeship positions at AstraZeneca and Medimmune

Medimmune are offering positions to students who wish to study biology and AstraZeneca are looking for students to study chemistry.  All positions can be found on the AstraZeneca global careers site although applications for the Medimmune position are still going via Cogent.  I noticed that Medimmune also have a supply chain position.

We have teamed up with Kent University to provide the undergraduate degree.  The apprentices study one day per week via online, distance learning and the fees are paid for by the company.  The other four days per week are spent working on real drug projects and the apprentice is paid a competitive salary.

After interview, we will offer successful applicants a conditional offer based on expected grades just like a normal university course.  For the AstraZeneca chemistry positions we are looking for a high grade in chemistry as well as A level maths.
